The article touches upon the key issues of the main programs of interaction between New Zealand and the leading powers of the Asia-Pacific region. The paper analyses in detail the prospects for cooperation between Wellington and the states of the South Pacific region and the Asia-Pacific region. We describe the specificity of interaction between New Zealand and the People's Republic of China. We explain why Wellington is beneficial for Washington in terms of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which deprived Australia of its leading role in the union. We show the possible evolution of the role and influence of New Zealand in the context of globalization and regionalization on the entire space of the South Pacific region in the light of the value system and the political line of Wellington.
