Abstract:

The article gives the specifics of the interests of advanced and developing countries and TNCs in the Mongolian People's Republic at the beginning of the XXI century. We analyzed the perspectives of tactics of neutrality of Ulan Bator in order to attract more investments from the key players who are interested in promotion of their influence in Mongolia in various economic areas. We reveal the specifics of Mongolian interests in the import of data lists of the producers of these countries and TNCs. The paper gives the forecast of vitality of tactics of neutrality for the long-term period with the view of benefits for Mongolia.


Highlights:

•The territory of Mongolia is in the heart of the SCO, but it is not part of the SCO; the resources of the country are extremely attractive for a number of countries, such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, China and Russia
•Mongolia's minerals list is quite diverse; Mongolia’s minerals can satisfy a number of demands in the global economic crisis
•An important characteristic of Mongolia is a poorly equipped Internet communication networks, which can be both a benefit and a challenge for an external investor
•Mongolia is a country involved in the "big game" of the world's key powers
