Abstract:

The article discusses the issues of entrepreneurship in the clothing and footwear fashion industry. The fashion industry is showing the stable growth on the global scale. Entrepreneurial approach to the role of designer does not only include creativity in developing new collections but also requires the skills of an effective business manager. The merger of creativity and value creation is a challenging task, especially for the fashion startups. The article presents the analysis of the designer clothes and footwear market in Russia and discusses the perspectives of the Russian fashion industry. The author outlines specific features of the fashion market in Russia and provides various recommendations for the nascent entrepreneurs.
