The article considers the opportunism of economic entities as a form of behavior in the current situation on market economy in Russia. The study analyses the influence of external conditions on the formation of opportunistic behavior. We determine the display levels of oportunistic behavior, point out the factors affecting the change in behavior of the individual towards opportunism and reveal the types and causes of its origin. We show the link between the moral and ethical norms of society and norms of behavior in business under the market conditions. The article describes the impact of the economic crisis on the behavior of economic entities and the formation of opportunistic behavior as an informal institution.
