Abstract:

The article deals with the peculiarities of using geoinformation systems at the economic evaluation of the potential of specially protected natural territories – evidence from the geoportal of the Buryat Republic. The main organizational problems of geoinformation systems have been revealed, the need for further improvement of the existing GIS has been substantiated. The article can be useful not only from the theoretical perspective, but also for further development of SPNR (Special Protected Natural Areas) in the region on the sustainable fundament.
