Abstract:

The article discusses topical issues of improving the competitiveness of Russian business for the purposes of competitive import substitution and the role of integration in this process. The goal of this study is to identify, analyze, and systemize the specifics of integration processes influencing the improvement of competitive advantage of business entities and, as the result, the competitiveness of the Russian economy when implementing the challenge of import substitution. To achieve this goal, the goal uses empirical and general-logical methods of research. In the course of the study, the author analyzed and summarized the views of Russian and foreign researchers and experts who studied the issues of integration as an effective mechanism of enhancing the competitiveness of business entities, as well as some statistical materials related to this issue. The result of the study is that the author established and explained the interconnection between competitive growth of business entities and internal integration processes in economy. He listed competitive advantages of integrated business entities and presented them in blocks, suggested using the advantages of internal integration to implement the challenge of competitive import substitution, as well as using internal economic integration based on financial and industrial (agricultural) clusters as the most advanced form of integration. The results of this work can be used as a theoretical basis for developing economic integration models for Russian business entities, as well as for further research of the theoretical bases and approaches to managing the competitiveness of business entities based on their integration.
