Abstract:

The article deals with the extended neoclassical model of production that is used to assess the impact of factors of production volume of gross regional product in Russia. Empirical evaluation of the model parameters is performed with the help of «balanced» linear regression. The calculations show a substantial (from 43 to 65%) contribution to education in explaining the variation in gross regional product per worker in Russia's Regions in 1999-2006.
