Abstract:

In this article K.N. Kostuk reviews and analyzes a sociological research conducted regularly by Library Journal magazinethat deals with the use of e-books inacademic and public libraries of the USA. The article zeroed in on the condition as of 2012, that is, the time when American book publishing endures a swift conversion to electronic formats. Model tendencies existing in the American market aim for situation in Russia and the tasks faced by Russian library community.
