Abstract:

The article discusses the evolution of logistics from the function of inventory turnover to the modern conception of supply chain management. The paper demonstrates the strategic value of the subsystem of supply chain management for the development of business and for the creation of new competitive advantages. The author proposes a mechanism for the development of product innovations on the basis of integration of the supply chain management subsystem into the business processes of the company.
