Abstract:

Considering the contemporary mechanism of financing Russia's transport infrastructure, the author emphasizes the leading role of the state. It is noted, however, that the outcome of current policy is the involvement of foreign banks and construction companies in the strategically important projects. Meanwhile, the ultimate goal of the state should be to attract foreign direct investment to enhance the overall effectiveness of the infrastructure projects implementation.
