Abstract:

The paper looks into the development of the market economy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its rapid progress was triggered by foreign investment into the country’s industries of raw materials. The importance of the oil industry and the special role of corporative structures in the Kazakh economic growth are specially emphasized.
