The article considers development of social and labor relations in organizations of various branches of the Komi Republic and highlights the influence of industry characteristics on the turnover rates and profitability of staff. The author believes that in the next 10-15 years, the problem of providing industries with human resources will aggravate. In this situation public policy, labor productivity and professional growth of employees will have a particular importance.
