The article describes vectors of the migration attractiveness of Russian regions: geo-economic, economic as well as cultural and economic ones. The authors conclude that the emphasis in the reproductive processes of human capital in Russia has shifted eastward, beyond the Volga and to the North Caucasus. According to the authors, the current strategy of replacing the indigenous population (whose share in the labor market decreases) by the foreign labor force is not effective.
