Abstract:

The article presents the data on the volume and structure of direct investments abroad carried out by Russian companies in the pre-crisis period. The author specifies the motives of entering the foreign markets and the methods of work that prevailed. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges for domestic companies in the field of direct investments are examined. On the whole, the author estimated positively the world market activity of Russian companies. It empowers a positive change in the Russian economy.
