Abstract:

Accelerating the process of production and capital concentration is one of the objective tendencies in developing modern economic systems. Concentration of production is mediated functionally by monopolistic and oligopolistic competition, providing conditions for capital accumulation. Imperfect competition implies investments in R & D to achieve competitive advantages leading to a temporary monopoly position, which opens up opportunities for new investments and innovations. The result is a scientific and technological progress.
