The article examines issues related to the certification of quality management systems at regional enterprises. The author calculates the growth rate and the proportion of certification in the regions from 2006 to 2008. She identifies the leading subjects of the federation, summarizes their experience, determines the interrelation of quantitative indicators of certification and economic indicators of the regions and shows the importance of the quality policy in the regions.
