In this article we propose as a strategic guide for the purpose of reforming the pension system in Russia to take the coefficient of performance replacement of lost earnings and the share of pension benefit costs in the combined gross product. On the example of the economically developed countries we considered the optimum size of these indicators, reaching that one could have been talking about a decent level of pension provision in Russia.
