The article discusses the prospects of change in the positions of the U.S. dollar as the international reserve currency. Recently the exchange rate of U.S. dollar, particularly against the rate of Euro, was subject to sharp fluctuations in both directions under the influence of different economic factors. Taking into account the statistic data and the medium-term forecasts for the world economic development, the author predicts a change in the position of U.S. dollar as an international currency.
