Abstract:

The level of labour productivity, as an indicator of production efficiency, characterizes the degree of competitiveness of the region's economy, including the agricultural sector. The branch of agriculture has objective features of development which influence its efficiency and level of productivity. Scientific researches of the author allowed to reveal the main problems at calculation of indicators of labour productivity and to estimate their level and dynamics taking into account the particularities vof development of agrarian production, in the connection with the forms of enterprises. Reliable estimates of labour productivity are necessary to monitor the industry position, its efficiency, and development directions.
