The article assesses the possibility of scientific and technical leadership in China and the impact of the integration of "big data" and artificial intelligence on the country's economy. Options are being considered for developing new mechanisms for regional economic partnerships and for strengthening cultural exchanges and ties in all areas between different countries of the world. It characterizes the essence of the transformation of the creation and functioning of the intellectual infrastructure system, which forms powerful new incentives and mechanisms for updating various links of production, expansion, distribution, and other types of economic activity. Based on the ratings of the global innovation index, it was concluded that China has the largest market for information trade, digitalization, scaling of economic processes and remains the leading country in terms of middle-income indicators. The conclusion is argued that artificial intelligence, as a moving force of scientific and technological transformation, can facilitate the transfer of China to the world's largest innovative center of artificial intelligence by 2030, if the country effectively uses the accumulated scientific, technological knowledge and the experience of industrial transformation and modernization
