Abstract:

The article presents a comparative analysis of conceptual approaches to the study of the Dutch disease phenomenon. It is revealed how the causes, manifestations, associated factors and consequences of the Dutch disease are determined from the standpoint of the theory of open economy, the theory of resource curse and neoinstitutionalism. Separate classification signs of indicators of an estimation of extent of Dutch disease prevalence are formulated. The specificity of grouping of indicators from a position of each considered conceptual approach is characterized. The advantages of the study in interregional comparisons of the concept of the Dutch disease institutional trap are substantiated; and the corresponding system of indicators is formed.
