The article presents the results of the universities teachers interviewing, the purpose of which was to find out the intentions (or lack of intentions) and the real motives for emigration of the highly qualified specialists from Russia. An important point in choosing the research method was that the problem under study lies simultaneously in several social sciences, such as: sociology, psychology, Economics. In this connection, a qualitative method of collecting empirical data was chosen, it was the method of interviewing, which allows to obtain more accurate sociological information. The result of the study was the determination of emigration attitudes of the highly educated part of the population.
