The relevance of the topic is that for many years the solution to the problem of poverty in the country continues to remain unresolved. The state takes a number of measures aimed at solving this problem, one of such measures of state support for citizens who find themselves in a difficult life situation is the conclusion of a social contract. The introduction of the system of social contracts is aimed at improving the efficiency of state social assistance, targeting, optimization of state social spending. The article discusses the features of the implementation of this technology in Russia and the prospects for its development, the positive experience of the social contract in foreign countries, analyzes the results of the social contract in the regions of the Russian Federation. Measures to improve the application of this technology in Russia are proposed.
