Abstract:

The article is devoted to new approaches to university management. Post-industrial society, the information revolution and globalization will change the face of higher education. Increasingly, the role of information and information technologies in the transmission and learning. The process of transition goes in terms of the digital economy. There is a huge number of programs aimed at implementing quality improvement education. In these conditions, it begins to form a new university model – the university of the third age. A new type of university involves a new system of governance based on the participation of teachers and students, knowledge management, quality education, advanced learning technologies, development of innovative environment and a high level of staff loyalty. Also, the article discusses the proposals related to the requirements for the successful functioning of the modern Russian universities.
