Abstract:

Today a significant problem in modern society is the full-fledged entry of children with disabilities into the social environment. Efforts aimed at preparing children with disabilities for independent living through effective integration into the social environment, as well as psychological support and psychoeducation of parents and teachers seem to be timely and socially significant. The article presents a system of medical and psychological assistance to children with disabilities. The presented and approved master classes on various types of art therapy are aimed at comprehensive and aesthetic development of children with developmental disorders, correction of their emotional sphere, learning to express emotions through socially acceptable methods and development of communication skills. The exercises were selected taking into account the age and clinical characteristics of children. The use of art-therapeutic techniques contributed to the creation of a safe environment for children's self-expression, and without evaluative acceptance of them and the products of activity by adults, it was a resource for the personal development of children with disabilities. Student volunteers under the guidance of teachers conducted group classes with children. Thus, students have gained practical experience working with children with disabilities.
