Based on the analysis of the history of CSR and the activities of European energy companies in the social sphere, recommendations for the effective development of social projects have been developed. Due to the large staff, energy companies can organize projects on social volunteering, and the article analyzes ways to improve the impact of volunteer projects, as well as the possibility of investing small and medium-sized businesses in the social programs of large companies. The possibility of using online volunteering for remote participation of employees in CSR programs is considered. It allows for convenient participation in volunteer activity and makes it available to each employee. Virtual volunteering is considered in conjunction with the practice of micro-volunteering, which allows employees to participate in CSR programs without leaving the workplace and spending no more than two hours a day on this activity. If one follows the recommendations outlined in this article, it may increase in the impact of the CSR policy of electric power companies and improve the image of such organizations among stakeholders.
