In article the analysis of reforming the power industry is carried out, the achieved objectives are defined and still not solved tasks are revealed. During reforming of power industry in branch essential investments are involved and modernization of objects of generation and grids is provided. However not all goals are achieved. It wasn't succeeded to achieve emergence of the competitive relations in the market of power supply of small and medium-sized enterprises, the population. At the same time improvement of state regulation fixes a part of problems and at the same time leads to emergence of new white spots. In article the new technique of regulation of marketing extra charges entered since July designed to solve many problems of the industry is analysed. The only way on solution of the problem – creation of really competitive market of the electric power in the country, deprivation of the guaranteeing suppliers of exclusive right on power supply of the population, medium-sized and small enterprises and organizations. Results of the analysis can be used for improvement of state regulation of the industry and assessment of prospects of industry development by specialists of analytical services of profile public authorities and the energy companies.
