In modern economic conditions, when addressing the issue of training competitive specialists, it is not enough to ensure a high quality of education; Given the negative impact of youth migration, it is necessary to consider the relationship of the number of trained personnel with the solution to the problem of providing jobs for engineers. The information provided in statistical collections, electronic resources, and scientific literature was used as the initial data for analysis. Comparative methods for analyzing statistical information allowed to draw conclusions about the dynamics of the analyzed indicators of the university, to suggest directions for improving the work on training specialists. The conclusion is made that the supporting university is the leader in the region for the training of engineering personnel.
