The increase of efficiency of using land capabilities remains a prominent task, because the solution thereof, in many respects, predetermines the possibilities for developing all branches of agricultural industry. The authors consider the problem of drawing the non-used farming lands into the economic turnover as one of the possible causes. This study has been aimed at determining the efficiency criteria of using the farming lands through the example of the Perm region’s municipal entities. In result, the authors have developed the method for determining the expediency of drawing the agricultural land plots into the production.
