Creating Favorable Conditions for Business Development in Remote Areas

Abstract:
Using the example of Kamchatka, the author considers the problems of small and medium-sized businesses in poor infrastructure in a region which is remote from the central part of Russia. According to the author, it is optimal to stimulate the development of local enterprising by means of microcredit programs implemented by the funds supporting small and medium-sized businesses as well as to apply differentiated regional taxation. The mentioned programs do not lend to the business structures that damage the biological variety of the protected areas in Kamchatka.
