Abstract:
The paper examines the features of the use of reserve currencies in international transactions. The concepts of a reserve currency and a regional reserve currency are defined. The factors influencing the use of reserve currencies in cash transactions and for setting prices in international trade are described. The statistics of the international currency market is given on the basis of which the key trends in the use of reserve currencies are analyzed.
